Powell has made significant contributions to the cannabis industry, holding key positions in various prestigious law firms, establishing the Cannabis HR Council, supporting organizations through board positions, such as the Broward County Medical Advisory Board and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee of ASTM International’s Committee D37 on Cannabis. Powell’s dedication to driving policy change and fostering diversity and inclusion has positioned her as a leading figure in the advancement of equitable and sustainable cannabis industry practices.
In addition to her legal and advocacy work, Powell has played critical roles in nonprofit organizations, including the JUSTÜS Foundation and Patients Out of Time, underscoring her commitment to social justice and health within the cannabis community.
