This committee is tasked with providing medical and scientific expertise to enhance the accuracy and rigor of S3 Collective’s educational materials to safeguard public health and promote safety across these industry sectors.
Purpose and Scope
MAC was established to ensure all S3 Collective’s materials and communications are based on accurate and unbiased scientific and medical knowledge. By meticulously reviewing scientific literature, developing robust evaluation frameworks, fostering strategic partnerships, and maintaining stringent ethical oversight, MAC aims to empower stakeholders with reliable information essential for making informed decisions.

S3 Collective has consistently demonstrated its commitment to fostering a transparent environment within rapidly evolving industries. The establishment of MAC builds upon the foundation laid by the recently launched Government Advisory Committee (GAC) and the Standards Committee, integrating scientific and medical research into the development of comprehensive standards and guidance documents that align with regulatory and public health objectives.
Goals and Objectives
- Review Scientific Literature: Conduct in-depth analyses of recent research concerning the efficacy, safety, and environmental impact of natural health products and cannabis.
- Develop Evaluation Frameworks: Establish adaptable, scientifically sound frameworks for assessing the safety and efficacy of botanical products, including cannabis.
- Facilitate Partnerships: Forge and maintain collaborations with key academic institutions, industry experts, and affiliate organizations.
- Ethical Oversight: Uphold the highest ethical standards in all research and dissemination activities.
- Educate Stakeholders: Translate complex scientific findings into accessible information for government regulators, industry participants, and the general public, in collaboration with the GAC.
- Contest (or Dispute) Misinformation: Partner with public health organizations, including the FDA, to address and correct misinformation about cannabis, hemp, and botanical products alongside the GAC.
- Support Standards Development: Collaborate with the Standards Committee to create and refine industry standards.
- Prioritize Medical Insights: Provide the necessary medical information to create industry standards, prioritizing initiatives based on input from doctors, nurses, pharmacists, regulators, and state agencies.
